Canadian Centres
The Centre in Montreal was established in 1959 and is part of The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres. The mission of the Organization is to spread peace, health and joy through yoga.
The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre is a non-profit organization which, for over 50 years, has been sharing the teachings of classical hatha yoga and Vedanta (yogic philosophy) as a means for all to achieve physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing, and self-realization.
The Centre in Toronto was established in 1992 and it is part of The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres. Our mission is to support our students in their physical, mental and spiritual growth by teaching Yoga and Vedanta.
The dome and scepter at the very top of the temple are known as the Kumbham. They transmit all the energy that is created within the temple out to the universe. They also attract energy which is then balanced, transmuted, and grounded, filling the temple with pure vibrations.
