9 Day Pranayama practice
March 8th -16th, 6am-7am, $85 (online)
Start your mornings with an invigorating practice!
The challenge will include Sun Salutations to warm up the body, 40 minutes of pranayama (Kapalabhati and Anuloma Viloma), and guided relaxation. These practices help to strengthen the respiratory system, increase stamina and keep good physical health. They also help keep the mind calm and peaceful.
You have to be well familiar with these practices in order to participate in the course. If you have any questions regarding the course please contact us and we will be happy to help you
Here are some of the benefits of pranayama:
-Optimal gas exchange (O2 and CO2)
-Oxygenation of tissues thanks to breath retention
-Harmonization of metabolic rates and chemical balance of the body

Yoga for the Lower Back with Padmini
March 22nd, Saturday: 1pm-3pm
Cost: $38
Lower back tightness and aches are often the result of sitting or standing for long periods of
time and/or insufficient physical activity. To address the tightness and aches, this workshop
will include breathing exercises and focus on specific yoga poses (asanas) and exercises to
stretch and strengthen core and leg muscles.
Caution:
If you have or have had hip, back, pelvic, or leg injuries or surgery, or if you have spinal disc issues, please talk
to your doctor to determine if this workshop is appropriate for you.
Teacher: Padmini is an experienced Sivananda Yoga teacher with a special interest in Hatha Yoga. Padmini has been practising and teaching at the Yoga Center for many years and is dedicated to supporting students in their practice by offering her knowledge and guidance.

Ayurvedic Cooking Workshop
Saturday, March 29th; 1:30 – 4:30 pm, $75
Participants will learn how to use shad rasa – six tastes, the most important aspect of Ayurvedic nutrition and how to incorporate many tastes in one meal. Balanced dish includes right amount of each taste: sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent, which helps achieve optimum health and vitality.
To stay balanced and aligned with nature’s seasonal changes, we will learn how to cook balance meal with all six tastes and all required balance nutrients with traditional highly recommended recipes in Ayurveda.
Menus will cover Tri-Doshic recipes for all body types which will be cooked with all healing herbs and spices.

Escape the noise of everyday life and immerse yourself in Ayurveda and Yoga retreat. Yoga and Ayurveda are complementary Vedic disciplines that have many therapeutic benefits for the health of the body and mind. This urban retreat will start with meditation , followed by Yoga class and workshop on Ayurvedic nutrition and cooking. We will all share breakfast and Ayurvedic lunch . You don’t have to be familiar with meditation to participate and should have a basic practice of yoga postures and breathing techniques.
