Kirtan for Community – Christie Refugee Welcome Centre
Saturday, February 21, 5-6:30 pm (minimum donation $25 to Christie Refugee Welcome Centre)
Yoga calls us to act: not only on the mat but also in our communities. Kirtan is a practice of chanting for the divine, which we can recognize within ourselves, our family, and our community.
This month, we will use our voices, music, and resources to support our neighbours through the work of Christie Refugee Welcome Centre, which provides shelter, settlement services, and other support to refugee families starting new lives in Canada.
Participation is open to everyone. Bring your voices, instruments, chants, or lyrics to share – or simply come to listen and join the collective chanting.

Raja Yoga is a branch of yoga often referred to as the psychology of yoga. In this course, we will discuss selected verses from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, a foundational text of classical Yoga philosophy.
