Diwali Candlelight Kirtan
Saturday, November 7, 7:30-9:00 pm
By donation (suggested: $25)
Join us as we celebrate Diwali with a candlelit evening of kirtan. Together we’ll gather for the festival of lights in a spirit of song and devotion.
Participants are welcome to offer a chant, sing along or simply enjoy being part of the gathering.
We hope to see you there!
Your donations help support the Centre’s activities as a nonprofit charity.
What is kirtan?
Kirtan is a devotional practice of singing and repeating sacred names and phrases in a call-and-response format. It uses music, rhythm and repetition to focus the mind, open the heart, and create a shared experience of devotion.
Facilitator: Ramdas has been involved with the Sivananda Centre as a yoga teacher since 2023. He regularly leads kirtan concerts and song circles at the Centre and elsewhere.
