For those seeking something deeper than a yoga class or a wellness weekend, the Sivananda Yoga Camp offers a place to genuinely step inward. Set in the forests of the Laurentian Mountains, the camp has been a living centre of spiritual practice since 1962 — rooted in the teachings of Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda, two of the most significant yoga masters of the twentieth century.
A spiritual retreat at the camp is not a workshop or a seminar. It is an immersion in the rhythms of ashram life — morning and evening satsang, guided meditation, chanting, and the quiet that comes from being in a place where spiritual practice is the reason everyone is here. Teachings draw from Vedanta, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, and the classical Sivananda tradition. No background in these traditions is required. What matters is the intention to look inward.
Throughout the year, the camp marks significant dates in the Sivananda lineage — celebrations that invite participants into the living history of these teachings. These are among the most meaningful times to visit, when the ashram community gathers to honour the masters and the tradition they carried to the West.
All backgrounds and beliefs are welcome. Come as you are.
