Schedule

The Yoga Vacation Program was designed by Swami Vishnudevananda to offer you an ideal break from your everyday life while deepening your yoga practice. Whether you are new to yoga or a well-stablished practitioner, the yoga vacation program will help you rebalance your life and get back in touch with nature. The ashram’s daily schedule creates the rhythm of each day for the whole ashram community – This structured immersion creates positive changes that last long after you leave.

Morning

Start the day at 6:00am with the serenity of early morning meditation, joyful chanting, and a spiritual talk. Energize your body while preserving the meditative mood with an 8:00am yoga class. Brunch will await you after.

Mid-Day

Take time for learning through Experiential Course sessions or a Yoga Vacation workshop. After, you may want to relax on the beach and take a swim or enjoy a massage at the Well Being Center. Perhaps you’ll stop by the Health Hut for a snack break, spend time with friends, or find a comfortable chair in the garden and read a book.

Afternoon

Begin the third part of the day with a 4:00pm yoga class and feel your body achieve its maximum flexibility. Observe your breath becoming calm and your mind clear in the serenity of your afternoon practice. DInner will await you after the class. Take an early evening walk on the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Evening

Join the evening satsang at 8:00pm and let the company of positive, like- minded people uplift you. Meditate, chant, and enjoy devotional music, a dance performance, or a lecture by a world-renowned presenter. Drift to sleep fulfilled and inspired.

Satsang

Gain inspiration and your path. In Sanskrit, “satsang” means “to be in the company of truth.” During satsang we come together as a community for meditation, chanting, daily prayers, and learning. Satsangs feature a variety of talks by spiritual teachers and guest presenters as well as special programs, concerts, ceremonies, and symposia.

Meals

Enjoy a variety of delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals made with loving care according to yogic dietary principles for a healthy and calm body and mind. Savor the flavor of freshly baked bread, homemade granola, and breakfast spreads. Nourish your body with hearty soups and fresh salads, along with bean, lentil, and vegetable dishes. Relax with the daily herbal tea. Have your meal in the company of other yogis and vacationers by the ocean, in the garden, or in the dining area.
