Intermediate Open Classes

These classes are open to persons who are familiar with yoga practice. You will expand your regular practice by learning new variations to build strength and flexibility and experience deeper aspects of Hatha Yoga.

These classes include: relaxation, breathing exercises, sun salutations, the twelve basic postures and their variations, and a final relaxation. You will develop the ability to integrate the twelve basic postures and a personal practice into your daily life.

Dynamic Intermediate Classes

These classes are open to those who are familiar with the intermediate open classes. You will learn new variations and how to become comfortable while holding the postures for a longer period of time. This allows the full benefits of the practice to sink in, both physically and mentally.

Gentle Yoga

The gentle yoga classes are open for beginners, seniors and those who haven’t practiced for a while. They provide longer relaxation, more gentle breathing exercises (pranayama), sun salutations, the twelve adapted basic postures, and a final relaxation.

Kids and Teens Yoga

Our yoga classes for kids and teens are comprised of traditional yoga poses and breathing, concentration and relaxation exercises, taught in a fun and engaging manner. Yoga promotes a sense of calm and emotional wellness in children, resulting in a sense of peace and a positive outlook. Aside from the physical benefits, yoga helps children to face in a better attitude their daily issues. Swami Vishnudevananda used to say that if children learn to discipline their mind and body early in the childhood, they would be able to develop love, tolerance, patience and understanding toward all the Creation. With Yoga and his tools, he taught them how to live a healthy, simple and joyful life.

Prenatal Yoga

The months of carrying a child are precious and soon past. You are engaged in the creation of a new life, not merely with your body, but with your emotions, mind and spirit. Yoga postures, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques can help the mind and body adapt to pregnancy, prepare for labor and adjust to life with the new baby.
