Ayurvedic Abhyanga Massage Course

with Claire Lalonde (Chandra)

June 19 to 22 2025

This four-day course (28 h) will enable you to put the Abhyanga ayurvedic massage technique into practice. It is a massage therapy treatment that aims at the general well-being, both physical and mental. The treatment is usually given with a warm or hot oil taking into account your doshic constitution (the doshas – pitta, vata and kapha – are derived from the Ayurvedic approach). This is a treatment that aims to prevent the imbalance of the body. The course will give you an overview of Ayurveda, and several hours will be devoted to massage practice, so that you can master the technique and share it with your clients and loved ones. A complete manual with diagrams and instructions will be provided.

This training is offered to already certified massage therapists in addition to the skills already acquired and validated by the Quebec Order of Massage Therapists. Part of continuing education. For women only.

My name is Chandra. My journey began with the practice of yoga, and my interest in this discipline led me to train as a yoga teacher in the Sivananda tradition. Yoga was my introduction to Ayurveda. This age-old science aroused great interest in me. I began my apprenticeship in 2007. I went on to deepen my knowledge under the tutelage of Dr. Vishnu at the Sivananda Institute of Health in Kerala, India, and Dr. Anita Sharma in Montreal. Since then, Ayurvedic treatments have become a passion for me, which is why I like to share the benefits and well-being they bring.
