Beginner’s courses provide a solid and essential foundation for attending Sivananda Open Courses. Given in small groups, they are personalized and guide you gradually in learning the basics of breathing (pranayama) and 12 postures (asanas). You will also find an introduction to meditation and the 5 basic principles of yoga.
Beginner classes are open to anyone who is completely new to yoga, new to the Sivananda class, or anyone who would like to go back to the basics.
A free-trial class is available every Sunday at 5.00 pm. It is advisable to wear loose and comfortable clothing for the class. We supply yoga mats and cushions.
