Le Rig Veda d\u00e9clare que \u00ab Surya est l&#8217;\u00e2me, celle des \u00eatres mobiles et immobiles \u00bb. La Salutation au Soleil est \u00e0 l&#8217;origine une s\u00e9rie de prosternations au soleil. Traditionnellement, elle est effectu\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;aube, face au soleil levant. Avec le temps, chacune des douze positions a re\u00e7u son propre mantra, c\u00e9l\u00e9brant des aspects de la divinit\u00e9 du soleil.<\/p>\n<p>La Salutation au Soleil est une s\u00e9quence gracieuse de douze positions, ex\u00e9cut\u00e9e comme un exercice continu. Chaque position contrebalance la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, \u00e9tirant le corps diff\u00e9remment et alternant expansion et contraction de la poitrine pour r\u00e9guler la respiration. Pratiqu\u00e9e quotidiennement, elle apporte une grande souplesse \u00e0 la colonne vert\u00e9brale et aux articulations et affine la taille. Elle assouplit tout le corps en pr\u00e9paration aux asanas (postures) enseign\u00e9es par Swami Vishnudevananda.<\/p>\n<p>Une s\u00e9rie de Salutation au Soleil se compose de deux s\u00e9quences : la premi\u00e8re avec le pied droit en positions 4 et 9, la seconde avec le gauche. Gardez vos mains au m\u00eame endroit de la position 3 \u00e0 la position 10 et essayez de coordonner vos mouvements avec votre respiration.
