Thai Yoga Massage is a unique healing therapy with Indian origins in Ayurvedic medicine and Yoga. It combines yoga postures and stretching with various massage techniques, working along energy lines and pressure points. Together these actions result in a comprehensive treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.

Course description

Learn the foundations of Thai Yoga Massage and basic techniques on using this unique healing therapy that combines yoga, stretching and massage, to work on shoulders, legs and back.

In this Intro you will learn the foundations of Thai Yoga Massage and a 30 minutes massage flow to work on shoulders, legs and back.

No prerequisites required.

What to bring: a queen size flat sheet, yoga mat, comfortable clothing, notebook and pen.

Daily schedule

  • 6-7:30 AM: Morning Satsang
  • 8-10 AM: Yoga Class
  • 10-10:45 AM: Vegetarian Brunch
  • 10:45-11:45 AM: Karma Yoga (selfless service)
  • 12-3:30 PM: Main Lecture/Workshop
  • 4-6 PM: Yoga Class
  • 6 PM: Vegetarian Dinner
  • 8 PM: Evening Satsang

Teacher

Mirabai was raised in a Sivananda Yoga family and has been committed to yoga all of her life. She has been teaching yoga for 18 years and sharing her expertise in teacher’s trainings world wide. She began her Thai Yoga Massage practice in 2007 and became a close disciple of Master Kam Thye Chow. Students appreciate her compassionate teaching style that promotes an enriching atmosphere to learn and share with one another.

In this course you will learn how to perform a 90-minute full-body massage.

A manual with pictures will be given.

Course description

In this course, you will learn how to correct and adjust yoga postures safely and with confidence. Thai Yoga Massage combines wonderful yoga stretches with gradual pressure on energy lines. This healing art give us tools to understand body mechanics and to apply the touch needed to perform an effective adjustment. We will focus on the 12 basic Sivananda Asanas, and their correlated thai yoga massage posture. This program is recommended for yoga teachers or anyone interested in Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage.
